About Briston Community Nursery School Ltd

Our nursery school is based at The Copeman Centre, while our Preschool is located within Astley Primary School. Established in 2006, our nursery has consistently grown and improved.

We strive to provide each child with an exceptional early years experience in a secure and joyful environment. We emphasize learning through play, both indoors and outdoors, tailored to enhance their developmental stages.

We operate during term time, serving children aged 9 months to 5 years. Our nursery is divided into three areas:

The Ladybird and Dragonfly rooms caters to children from 9 months to approximately 2 years old.
The playroom is designed for 2 and 3-year-olds.
The Preschool accommodates 3 and 4-year-olds preparing for school the following year. The Ladybird and Dragonfly rooms and playroom are situated in the Copeman Centre, whereas the Preschool is at Astley Primary School.
Each area has access to outdoor spaces for seamless indoor/outdoor play. The Ladybird and Dragonfly rooms and playroom benefit from a large playground and a woodland area on the village green, while the Preschool has access to a large field and a forest school area within the school premises.

Each child at our nursery and preschool is assigned a key person who collaborates closely with parents/carers throughout their time with us.

Our team is highly experienced and diverse in their qualifications, with many staff members having been with us for years. All staff undergo rigorous DBS checks and are committed to their roles. Regular training in safeguarding, first aid, and other relevant areas ensures our team is well-prepared to provide top-notch care and education.
